The shore excursion departs from Vigo or Villagarcía de Arosa and proceeds to Baiona, the town where the first new of the new world arrived. We will be able to visit a replica of the Pinta as well as its fortress and the old town, We then go to La Guardia, the southernmost town of Galicia, separated from Portugal by the Miño river, stopping on our way in Sta. Maria de Oia, and then going to Santa Tecra mountain, where you can enjoy splendid views of the estuary of the Miño river and Portugal and visit the old prehistoric Celtic settlement. From there we visit a wine cellar and finally head to Tui, a small town bordered with Portugal, once the capital of Galicia, where you can see its fortified cathedral. We then cross to Valença, a Portuguese fortified town on the other side of the river, where lunch will be taken (not included). We then return to Vigo and finish with a walk in the old town by the harbour.
