You will enjoy a pleasant half-day walking tour in Trieste
through the impressive heart of the city and its history and cultural aspects,
and I will take you on a stroll to the following historic sights
providing a panoramic view over the cultural heritage:
Molo Audace (main pier) – city building and history;
Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia (main square) – Trieste as the imperial freeport;
Cathedral (external) – early Christian era and mosaics;
(coffee, water and toilet stop)
Teatro romano - the idea of beauty in architecture;
Canal Grande – port, navigation and commerce;
The orthodox church – religions und multicultural life;
Piazza della Borsa – old stock market and business.
Lunch break (1 hour)
Trip to the Bay of Grignano - Castle of Miramare
Visit of the beautiful white Castle on the coastline
