A funicular ride to Brunate, a hill-top town with magnificent views over Como, the lake and its surrounding mountains.
The ride lasts just seven minutes as the funicular railways climbs steeply up the mountainside. Brunate was a popular tourist resort during the early part of the 20th century, particularly with the nearby Milanese aristocracy. From the funicular station we will have a nice walk along the many "art nouveau" style villas until we reach the panoramic point of the "Pissarottino", from where we can enjoy a spectacular view that stretches from the lake to the Po valley and its plain and to the Monte Rosa.
