Meet up with the guide in Cavour Square. Some information about the city and the lake will be given here and then the itinerary will start from Piazza Volta, a characteristic and animated square, where you can admire the statue of the great scientist fron Como, the inventor of the cell. The tour continues through the old little streets of the historic centre inside the walls towards San Fedele Square, a tiny suggestif square which has been the throbbing heart of the town since the Roman period. Then we will reach the remains of the old medieval walls and return to the lake along via Vittorio Emanuele, the elegant shopping street. Visit of the beautifull Cathedral and the surrounding monuments: the Broletto, old town-hall seat, the neoclassical Theatre and Terragni Palace, built in 1932 in rationalist style, before returning to Cavour Square, the old harbour of the city before being transformed into this great square by the lake during 19th century.
