A dress code is required for entering the Basilica of St Mark: shoulders and knees must be covered, both for men and women (bring a scarf with you if possible, otherwise a light kimono is for sale at the entrance of the church)
St. Mark's Basilica is not open to visitors on Sunday mornings. Access to the church is subject to religious festivities and special celebrations. On some days and times the Basilica is closed without notice.
