This is an immersive walking tour around the beautiful city of Split and it lasts 2,5 hours.
We will take an exciting journey that starts at Split city port. We will walk along the beautiful promenade with palm trees - Riva, as called by locals. From Riva (the waterfront, promenade) we will enter the substructures of the Diocletian's palace. Diocletian's palace substructures are one of the most preserved monuments of the Roman architecture of that kind in the world. Diocletian's palace is an unique example in the world of an ancient roman palace that grew into a city! So today inside of the palace we have a living, breathing city - the Split city centre.
We will proceed to Diocletian's living room, we will walk along the two main streets of the palace - so called Cardo and Decumanus. I will show you the cathedral, Jupiter's temple, and the famous statue of Gregory of Nin, and we will rub his toe for good luck! We will visit the Pjaca square and the well known Fruit square. I will also show you green market and fish market. We will finish our tour at the starting point.
The tour is adjustable to your needs: I will pick you up at the port and you can decide if you would like to walk or be transfered by a car. The port is short walk away from the city centre (5-10 min of light walk along the seaside).
Tour can be prolonged or shortened, according to group's request.
A short break is possible whenever needed.
Meeting point is at the cruise ship port, in front of the ship.
During the high season and summer months (July and August) it can get very hot so I always recommend wearing a hat, a sunscreen and a bottle of water.
