About this tour

We invite you to follow in the footsteps of one of the most important battles of the Second World War, from the visit of the American cemetery of Henri-Chapelle where nearly 8000 soldiers are buried, continuing along the route taken by the Kampfgruppe Peiper, infamous for the abuses it committed on its way near Malmedy to finish in La Gleize where it had to abandon their tanks for lack of fuel and where one of them is still visible. We will continue our visit to the Fraiture Barracks to discuss one of the many heroic acts carried out by American troops to slow down or halt the German advance at Parker's Crossroads. Finally we will end the day with a final stop in Grandmenil where we can discover another remnant of this battle. On the second day of the visit we will focus on Bastogne and its surroundings, on the fierce resistance of the 101st American Airborne Division and its Easy Company made famous by the Band of Brothers series from Steven Spielberg.
