Masada is a Natural Park and probably the most beautiful site in Israel. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is located at the top of the Masada cliff in the heart of the Judean Desert (400m above the Dead Sea). The climate is Mediterranean and the average annual temperature is 25.7°. The best months to go are February to December. The site of Masada has been dusted off by archaeologists. It consists of several ancient fortifications and palaces, set on a limestone base. You will be amazed by its cliffs overlooking the Dead Sea at 450m, which dominate the valley by a hundred metres.
