Far from the crowds of tourists you will be able to enjoy the everyday life of an authentic Italian city rich in art, culture, history and beauty.

Our day together starts at the Tourist Port of Venice, I will be there waiting for you with our minivan and our private driver, who in more or less 45 minutes will take us to Padua.
The tour itinerary takes us on foot through the old town, passing through the places that have marked our ancient and recent history as well as the history of art from all over the world.

The walk starts in Piazza Garibaldi in the pedestrian area, passing by the University (the second oldest in Italy, founded in 1222), we will stroll through the lively market squares and we will visit the interior of the old Law Courts, an imposing building from the Middle Ages with its enormous 80mx28m hall completely decorated with ancient frescoes.

We will then move on to the famous Caffé Pedrocchi, the most elegant in the city, in neoclassical style, in the shape of a grand piano, with its 4 lions marking the main entrance.
Apart from its elegance and international fame, this café founded in 1831 is a pillar of our identity, it is the symbol of our Risorgimento, here began the revolt against Austrian domination in 1948, here intellectuals and patriots met and animated the political and cultural life of the city.
The coffee speciality is called "Pedrocchi", a secret recipe for mint coffee, which will be offered to you during a coffee break to share the very special atmosphere of this place.

Whoever comes to Padua often comes here to visit the Basilica of St. Anthony, a magical place where devotion and beauty meet. The Basilica is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year and is home to incomparable art treasures, a unique blend of architecture, sculpture, painting that ranges from Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and modern times, the most famous works speak to us through the 14th century frescoes of Giotto, Altichiero, Menabuoi, as well as the bronze statues of Donaltello, the reliefs of Sansovino and P. Lombardo, the rounded forms of the Baroque of Parodi, the paintings of the IX and XX century.

Lunch break in the surroundings of San Antonio, free lunch at your own expense, or, if you prefer, at a very good pizzeria.

At the end of the day, I suggest you to visit the Botanical Garden of Padua, founded in 1545, cultural patrimony of UNESCO since 1997, the oldest Botanical Garden that has survived in its original site. For some years now, the classic visit of the old part has been enriched by the visit of new super modern greenhouses, here ancient and modern cohabit magnificently under the motto "Beware of plants"!
At the end of the afternoon our driver will pick us up to take us back to the port of Venice.

If you are interested you could ask to include in your "Padova à la carte":
1) The Interior of the University Palace with the Anatomical Theatre (finished in 1595 and the first example in the world of a permanent university structure) and the hall where Galileo Galilei taught, (tkt 7,00€). The tour is available only in Italian and English.
2) The Chapel degli Scrovegni with Giotto's cycle of frescoes (1303/1305), an absolute masterpiece of Italian medieval art (tkt 13,00€).

These two monuments are not directly included in the itinerary because the entries are limited in number and availability depends on the days and periods selected. If you are interested I advise you to make your reservation as soon as possible.
