About this tour...

We leave the port of Genoa and after approx. 40 minutes ride, we reach Camogli, the first stop. We will admire this small village, whose foundation date back to 600 b.C. After a pleasant walk among its colourful buildings and through the ancient pedestrian narrow lanes, we reach the small fishing port where, unbelievable, more than 500 vessels were anchored during the XVI and XVII centuries.
We will continue along the seafront national route n. 1 Aurelia, one of the consular streets built by the Romans all across Italy, to Sta Margherita which, over the years, has been transformed from an old fishing village into an international resort: royal families, celebrities from the entertainment world, political and industrial leaders have their villas here, or spend some time in the prestigious grand hotels. A real mix of elegance and traditions.
Depending on weather and sea conditions we board a small ferry to Portofino a tiny village packed between the sea and the hills, full of the international charme of an exclusive location. An easy hike up the hill takes us to the fortress, built during the XVI C. to protect the village from pirates' raids from where we can enjoy an amazing view on the Paradise Gulf
Free time for shopping.
After 1h30 min approx. stop in Portofino we take the ferry back to Rapallo, our next stop. During the crossing (30 min) I offer you the local "aperitivo", a tasty surprise.
Free time for lunch in Rapallo: bars, restaurants and savoury street food available all along the city center and the beach front promenade.
After lunch we head to Sestri Levante, taking the Aurelia route again, from which we can enjoy spectacular views .
Sestri Levante is one of the most enchanting city on the Liguria's coast, called "The city of the two seas", where a narrow strip of land connects the colourful resort town to the cape of Punta Manara, creating two amazing separated bays: Fairytales Bay with its large sandy beach loved by locals and tourists and Silence Cove where the typical local fishing boats called "gozzi" rest on the narrow beach surrounded by ancient buildings and hills dotted with splendid villas.
After an "expresso" coffee or a tasty italian ice cream we head back on time for boarding your cruise ship in Genoa (around 1h15 min before departure).

Licensed guide

I lived in Genoa for 35 years and know its region very well. As a student and a young lady I spent lot of time in the Riviera's villages: going to the several beaches, getting to know traditions and history or dancing all night long in each discotheques on the coast. When I was a high school student I also got a summer job as waitress in the former restaurant and discotheque "Le piscine dei Castelli" in Sestri Levante. When I grew up, I studied to become a licensed tour manager and learned how guiding people around my country. My job is my passion and I will be more than happy to share my memories and knowledge leading you across my beautiful land.
