Our guides being in great demand, we recommend that you book your excursions as early as possible. You can cancel up to 7 days before the excursion. (See our cancellation policy)
See the main attractions in Oslo on a 3-hour tour around the city.
Activity Level :
We pick you up at the pier and drive via Akershus Fortress, Kvadraturen and The Opera to Bjørvika – the newest part of Oslo. Further on via Oslo Cathedral, Main Square, Royal Palace and Frogner to The Vigeland Sculpture Park.
We walk an hour through the park and look at Gustav Vigeland 's amazing sculptures. After the walk we will be picked up and driven on to Holmenkollen Ski Jump, Biathlon- and Nordic Ski Arena, Oslo's most visited tourist attraction. View from the stands over the city and the fjord.
On the return trip back to the city, we drive through the former industrial area Skøyen and out to the peninsula of Bygdøy where the Fram Museum is located. Fram was the ship explorer Fridtjof Nansen has built and sailed with when he attempted to reach the North Pole in 1893-1896. Later the ship was used by Roald Amundsen when he 1911 was the first living man to reach the South Pole.
On the return to the ship we are able to see Oslo City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded on December 10th each year. Return to the ship by car.
Please note :
Wear comfortable clothes. Good shoes are recommended. On a rainy day, please bring an umbrella. And be sure to bring sun protection on a sunny day.
The Akershus Fortress has cobblestone pathways. They are difficult to walk on with high heel shoes.
On the Holmenkollen Area, there are a few long walking distances, and the walk through the Vigeland Sculpture Park is 850 meters. At the end of the park there are a few stairs to climb. An alternative pathway walk without stairs is available - but it makes the walk longer than 850 meters.
At the Fram Museum there are lifts to help you avoiding staircases.

You will be guided by an authorized Oslo Guide. I have lived in Oslo for more than 40 years, and I love the city - both winter and summer.
The streets of Oslo are my "everyday pathways" - I have been walking here for years. As a native Oslo inhabitant I know what is worth to see during a short visit. Or if you are planning to stay for days - there are lots of other areas to explore.
