“Why “Dark Side”?
The key events that have shaped the human story have not been sugar coated – natural disasters, war, disease, religious persecution, torture – just a few examples of the causes of change in society over the millennia. Dark side of life can be traumatic for those who were unlucky to experience it – whether it be the Medieval peasant facing the Black Death, or a child sheltering from bombs in Croatia’s last homeland war. These horrible events shaped us into a society that we are today- by the way we learned to deal with them.
Except for the strict regime Ragusa republic had, we will discuss curses and folk beliefs throughout the centuries. This tour is 90minutes long, meeting point Ploče gate. We will finish in front of Pile gate.
