Enjoy your first-time tour in Venice, getting to know its fascinating history and its most famous square.
With this tour you'll have an in-depth insight into the political history of Venice and an understanding of the incredible longevity of La Serenissima - The Most Serene Republic of Venice. We'll sightsee the Doge's Palace that displays many masterpieces of Venetian painting as well as the armoury, the state's rooms and the dark prisons, passing through the famous Bridge of Sighs.
We will then explore the square with the Bell Tower, the ancient glamour bistros, the elegant atmosphere.
Finally we'll enter the Basilica of St Mark that hosts the relics of the Saint and has been decorated with the most ancient and precious mosaics throughout the centuries.

A note from your guide
A dress code is required for entering the Basilica of St Mark: shoulders and knees must be covered, both for men and women (bring a scarf with you if possible, otherwise a light kimono is for sale at the entrance of the church)
St. Mark's Basilica is not open to visitors on Sunday mornings. Access to the church is subject to religious festivities and special celebrations. On some days and times the Basilica is closed without notice.
In case of extremely high tide the monuments may be partially closed
