About this tour...
We'll meet anywhere in the city of Venice and head to St Mark's square, passing close to the Gran Canal where the most elegant aristocratic homes are facing. We'll have a stroll in front of the Doge's Palace and the magnificent monuments around the square, while I will tell you about the interesting history of this unique city. We will enter St Mark's basilica, a 1000 years old monument entirely covered with precious marbles and golden byzantine mosaics.
Through less known hidden alleys we'll explore some enchanting districts of the city Center and I'll tell you about the real Venetian life, curiosities and anecdotes.
At last we'll get to the Rialto bridge, one of the most iconic monuments of the city, the center of the commercial activities of the Venetians since the Middle Ages.

A note from your guide
A dress code is required for entering the Basilica of St Mark: shoulders and knees must be covered, both for men and women (bring a scarf with you if possibile, otherwise a light kimono is for sale at the entrance of the church)
St. Mark's Basilica is not open to visitors on Sunday mornings. Access to the church is subject to religious festivities and special celebrations. On some days and times the Basilica is closed without notice.
In case of extremely high tide the monuments may be partially closed
